Yesterday, strolling down Main Street, I saw a very cute guy walking my way. He had a great smile and was wearing a Borsalino hat that was quite adorable on him and was walking with a three legged friend.
He noticed I was wearing a tee with writing on it and asked me if it was a “Much Love” tee. As I walked closer to him with a smile, he said, “Guess not!” (I was wearing “Just ask me (out)”. )
We began chatting as I petted his three legged dog as he explained that Much Love is an organization for animals to be adopted. He was a foster parent for his friend until he was found a good home.
I find it so amazing when dogs can get over loosing a leg. They just seem so adaptable so quickly. She was jumping around, wagging her tail and just down-right smiling to be alive! I wonder if dogs are more adaptable than humans. How long would it take a human to get over such a tragedy. I sometimes feel we waste too much of our precious time on this earth trying to heal over whatever the hardship. For example, a broken heart. Yes, me like many others have spent countless amount of time licking my own wounds, when I really just need to get out there and start living life again!
Our dear friend, Lisa Steadman, just came out with a new book called “Bad Love No More“. She is an expert in the field of getting over a breakup. Check it out.
I am wishing that any of you who may have a broken heart this holiday season to think like this three legged dog I met, get out there and enjoy life!

Maybe if we loved ourselves unconditionally as animals do, we wouldn’t spend so much time struggling with life.
