What better time but the beginning of a new year to evaluate where you are and where you are going? Some people make resolutions, for others, it’s a natural starting point for a 52 week journey to learn or try something new.
There’s alot you can learn in 52 weeks:
- 52 Weeks of Sales Success: Americas #1 Salesman Shows You How to Send Sales Soaring by Ralph R. Roberts
- 52 Weeks of Romance by Lover’s Choice
- 52 Weeks of Better Writing by Roger Newman
- 52 Weeks Of Passionate Sex by Melanie Votaw
- 52 Weeks The Complete Relationship Handbook for Women by Richard Yearwood and Michael Zaharuuk
- 52 Weeks of Conscious Contact: Meditations for Connecting with God, Self, and Others by Melody Beattie
Just to name a few books I found, something of interest for everyone! Imagine if you did two of these simultaneously? A natural combination could be romance and writing…
I continued my search online and "52 Weeks of Romance" was the top hit. With Valentine’s day around the corner, I can see how "romance" would be a popular search term.
And, then I found a great website called 52Weeks2FindHim.com. A single woman from New Jersey decided to create a web site to find her husband in 52 weeks. Instead of being one of a million profiles on an online dating site, Neenah has taken a beeline approach that we hope will help her find her guy. She has a daily blog, testimonials from her friends, a general descripton of the qualities she is looking for, a discussion board to communicate with the public, a section for the guys to upload their profiles, and has even set some challenges for herself, inviting other single women to join her. The site is comprehensive and smart.
Neenah has been on national television telling her story and promoting her website. I saw one reel where a reporter asked her why she’s still single at the age of 42. Neenah mentioned her career. I’ve been asked the same question many times and it ruffles my feathers. Why? Because it implies that finding a mate is easy and there must be something wrong with you if are still single. I would like to suggest that Neenah consider my favorite comeback from Kristin’s blog entry on December 26th titled "Comebacks for the Season." When asked why you are still single, respond "My prince charming took a wrong turn."
We’ll keep checking in on Neenah to see how her journey is going. Kudos to her for being proactive and innovative!
